Let’s get to know each other.
After all, the magic comes from the details!
It’s the heart of my creative process and gives me a deeper sense of your family, what matters most to you and how to shape the session in a way that feels natural and true.
I’ve popped some handy little tips below to help you prepare for our session.

1. Keep expectations low and connection high
The most meaningful photographs rarely come from perfectly behaved babies or tidy homes. They come from genuine moments of love and connection.
Feed your baby when they need it, cuddle them often, and know that fussiness, feeding breaks, and nappy changes are all part of the story. There is nothing your baby needs to "do" for beautiful photographs to happen.
2. Choose clothing that feels like you
Wear something comfortable, timeless, and easy to move in. Soft, neutral tones and natural textures tend to photograph beautifully, but the most important thing is that you feel like yourself.
When everyone is comfortable, it shows in the images.
3. Don't stress about the house (if we are shooting at home)
You do not need a magazine-worthy home.
Before I arrive, simply clear any clutter from the areas with the best natural light (usually the main bedroom, nursery, and living room). Everything else can stay exactly as it is. Your home is part of your family's story, and that's what I'm there to capture.
4. Slow down the morning
If possible, leave a little extra space in your day before the session.
A rushed morning can leave everyone feeling frazzled. Giving yourself permission to move slowly, have an extra coffee, enjoy a cuddle on the couch, or simply be together helps create the relaxed atmosphere that makes for natural photographs.
5. Focus on being present, not perfect
The most treasured images are often the ones that remind you how this season felt. Hold your baby close. Smell their hair. Watch your partner with them. Laugh when things don't go to plan.
Your only job during the session is to love your family. I'll take care of the rest.
